Easily soluble in ethanol, acetone, toluene and other organic solvents; insoluble in water but slowly hydrolyzes and condenses in moist air. Boiling point approximately 310°C, flash point approximately 110°C, density approximately 0.88 g/cm³ at 25°C, refractive index approximately 1.42.
Uses:Mainly used for hydrophobic and moisture-proof treatment of glass, ceramics, metals and plastic surfaces, forming a uniform transparent silicone protective film on the surface, lowering surface energy and improving stain resistance. It is also used as a monomer in the synthesis of silicone resins and silicone oils, widely applied in waterproof coatings, sealants, release agents and surface modification of inorganic fillers.
