Relatively stable in air, but sensitive to light and heat, and decomposes upon heating. Melting point approximately 145°C (decomposition).
Uses:Used as a starting material for gold(I) catalysts and widely applied in homogeneous gold-catalyzed reactions, including alkyne activation, cycloisomerization and carbon-carbon bond coupling. Also used as a precursor for preparing other gold complexes and gold nanomaterials.
