Relative density approx. 1.00 (20% aqueous solution), boiling point approx. 100°C (aqueous solution), gradually decomposes above 100°C when heated.
Uses:Mainly used as a templating agent in molecular sieve synthesis, particularly for preparing ZSM-5 zeolites. Also used as an alkaline cleaning agent and etchant in the electronics industry, as well as a phase transfer catalyst and quaternary ammonium base catalyst in organic synthesis.
