Uses:Used in the preparation of triphenylphosphine oxide, alkenyl diphenylphosphine oxides, and addition reactions with alkynes; it is a common reagent for Wittig-Horner reactions. Also used in the synthesis of diphenylphosphine derivatives, such as the coupling reaction to afford diphenylarylphosphines as chiral ligands.
