Uses:Naloxone is an opioid receptor antagonist used primarily to reverse respiratory and central nervous system depression caused by opioid overdose. It is also used to counteract opioid-induced respiratory depression after anesthesia, in the diagnosis of opioid dependence, and for the clinical treatment of neonatal asphyxia.
