Soluble in toluene, hexane, diethyl ether and other organic solvents. It hydrolyzes readily upon contact with water or moisture, releasing ammonia, and should be stored sealed in a dry environment.
Uses:Used as a ceramic precursor for preparing SiCN ceramic coatings, ceramic fibers, and ceramic matrix composites. It also serves as a high-temperature-resistant adhesive and sealant in applications such as electronic packaging, high-temperature protection, and heat-resistant coatings.
