Physical Properties:Yellow or pale yellow crystalline powder, odorless and tasteless. Melting point 228-230°C (decomposition). Insoluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol and ether, sparingly soluble in acetone. Stable in dry and cool conditions, discolors upon light exposure.
Uses:This product is an anthelmintic agent mainly used for the treatment of tapeworm infections, showing excellent efficacy against Taenia saginata, Taenia solium, and Diphyllobothrium latum. It is also used as a molluscicide for snail control in schistosomiasis endemic areas.
