Physical Properties:The product is a light yellow transparent viscous liquid (solid content about 40%). It is readily soluble in water and insoluble in ethanol, acetone and other organic solvents. Its density is about 1.10–1.20 g/cm³ at 20 °C, and the pH of a 1% aqueous solution is 3.0–5.0. As a polymer, it is nitrogen-free and phosphorus-free, with good biodegradability and chelating, dispersing, scale-inhibiting and corrosion-inhibiting properties.
Uses:Used as a scale inhibitor and corrosion inhibitor in industrial circulating cooling water, boiler water, reverse osmosis membrane and oilfield water injection systems. It is especially suitable for water with high alkalinity, high hardness and high metal ion content. It can be used alone and also shows a significant synergistic effect when compounded with inorganic phosphates, organic phosphates, benzotriazole and other agents, producing low-phosphorus or phosphorus-free environmentally friendly water treatment chemicals.
