Uses:TDDS is a thiadiazole ester derivative used as a novel vulcanizing/crosslinking agent for halogen-containing polymers such as chlorinated polyethylene (CPE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), epichlorohydrin rubber (ECO), chloroprene rubber (CR) and chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber (CSM), especially suitable for efficient vulcanization of CPE in combination with accelerator NC or BF. It is applicable to various vulcanization processes including compression molding, continuous vulcanization, autoclave and microwave curing, providing fast curing speed, safe operation, no pollution, no irritating odor, no blooming and no scorching. The recommended dosage is 2.0–2.5 parts TDDS with 1.5 parts accelerator BF (or NC), suitable for cable sheaths, hose inner/outer layers, conveyor belts and other rubber products; a small amount of insoluble sulfur can be used in combination to improve adhesion to brass-plated steel wire.
