Uses:Teriparatide acetate, the acetate salt of recombinant human parathyroid hormone (1-34), is a bone formation promoter. It is indicated for the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women at high risk of fracture, as well as in men with primary or hypogonadal osteoporosis and glucocorticoid-related osteoporosis. By activating the parathyroid hormone receptor, it stimulates bone formation, increases bone mineral density, and reduces the risk of vertebral and nonvertebral fractures.
