Uses:Used as a hydroxyl protecting reagent in organic synthesis, converting alcohols or phenols into the corresponding trimethylsilyl ether protective groups. Also employed as a silylation reagent in pharmaceutical synthesis, natural product modification, and preparation of fine chemical intermediates.
