Exhibits dual reactivity of ester and nitrile groups, capable of undergoing hydrolysis, ammonolysis, reduction and other reactions.
Uses:Mainly used as an organic synthesis intermediate for the preparation of quinoline and isoquinoline heterocyclic compounds and pharmaceutical intermediates. Also widely applied in agrochemicals, dyes and fine chemicals. Hydrolysis affords the corresponding arylacetic acid derivatives for further synthesis.
