Uses:Palmitic acid is an important chemical raw material, widely used in manufacturing candles, soaps, lubricants, synthetic detergents, cosmetics and plastic plasticizers. In food industry, it is used as a food additive for emulsifiers, preservatives, etc. It is also used in synthesizing other fatty acid derivatives.
