- 淡橙黄色结晶或薄片，约250℃变暗，不熔融而炭化。溶于热的稀盐酸和硫酸，略溶于乙酸、酚、吡啶、氢氧化碱和碳酸碱溶液，微溶于甲醇，不溶于乙醇、丁醇、醚、丙酮、氯仿和苯。25℃水中溶解度约0.0016mg/mL，沸水中约溶1%。钠盐易溶于水，但受光照分解。在空气中稳定，紫外光照射分解失去活力。酸性溶液中对热不稳定，中性和碱性环境中稳定，100℃加热1小时不被破坏。

Physical Properties:Light orange-yellow crystalline powder or flakes, darkens at about 250°C and carbonizes without melting. Soluble in hot dilute hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid; slightly soluble in acetic acid, phenol, pyridine, alkali hydroxide and carbonate solutions; sparingly soluble in methanol; insoluble in ethanol, butanol, ether, acetone, chloroform, and benzene. Solubility in water at 25°C is approximately 0.0016 mg/mL, and about 1% dissolves in boiling water. The sodium salt is readily soluble in water but decomposes upon exposure to light. Stable in air, but decomposes under ultraviolet irradiation, losing activity. Unstable to heat in acidic solutions, but very stable in neutral and alkaline environments; can withstand heating at 100°C for 1 hour without destruction.
Uses:Folic acid is one of the essential B vitamins for the human body. It promotes the maturation of juvenile cells in the bone marrow and is used to prevent megaloblastic anemia and leukopenia. As a nutritional fortifier, it is widely applied in foods, dietary supplements, and pharmaceuticals, especially for folic acid supplementation in pregnant women and women planning pregnancy.
