Uses:6-Hydroxytropinone is an important intermediate for the synthesis of tropane alkaloids (such as atropine and hyoscyamine) and is used to prepare anticholinergic drugs in the pharmaceutical industry. It can also be used as a chiral building block in organic synthesis to construct nitrogen-containing bicyclic frameworks.
