Uses:It is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic. It exhibits good antiparasitic activity against liver flukes, nematodes, and arthropod larvae in cattle and sheep, especially against blood- or plasma-feeding parasites. Its mechanism of action involves inhibiting mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, blocking ATP synthesis, and causing energy metabolism failure and death in parasites. It can be administered orally or by subcutaneous/intramuscular injection, and is often combined with benzimidazoles or levamisole in compound preparations.
