Physical Properties:Brownish-black powder, odorless and tasteless. Readily soluble in water and aqueous ethanol. Stable to light, heat, acid and alkali; does not deliquesce or deteriorate. The aqueous solution is coffee-colored and remains stable in this color within the pH range of 4.0 to 14.0.
Uses:Used as a coloring agent and flavoring agent. Suitable for coloring coffee-colored foods and beverages, and can be used in cola-type carbonated beverages, candies, frozen drinks (except ice) and prepared wines. According to GB2760-2011, the maximum usage level is 1.0 g/kg in cola-type carbonated beverages and 0.4 g/kg in candies, frozen drinks and prepared wines.
