Physical Properties:Light yellow to dark yellow transparent viscous liquid with a characteristic fatty acid odor. Insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether, benzene and other organic solvents. Relative density approx. 0.895–0.910, high boiling point, flash point above 180°C.
Uses:Mainly used in the production of alkyd resins, epoxy resin curing agents, surfactants, lubricants and inks. Also used as plasticizer for rubber and plastics, and raw material for metallic soaps.
