Physical Properties:Light yellow to yellow viscous liquid or paste. Soluble in water, ethanol and isopropanol, insoluble in mineral oil. Possesses excellent emulsifying, dispersing, antistatic and lubricating properties. It is weakly alkaline and can form salts with acids.
Uses:Widely used as a softening agent, antistatic agent and lubricant in the textile industry. Also applied in pesticide emulsifiers, leather processing auxiliaries and metal cleaning formulations, as well as a dispersant and flotation agent in papermaking and water treatment.
