Uses:α-Lipoic acid is a vitamin-like antioxidant naturally produced in the human body. With both fat and water solubility, it can be easily absorbed through the skin and cross cell membranes to fight free radicals both inside and outside cells. It inhibits sebum secretion and exhibits strong antibacterial activity, making it useful for the treatment and prevention of acne. Additionally, α-lipoic acid can prevent glucose from binding to collagen, delaying skin aging, and can substitute for vitamin C, vitamin E and coenzyme Q10 when these antioxidants are deficient.
