Physical Properties:Dark brown powder, soluble in water giving a brown solution, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in acetone and other organic solvents. The aqueous solution tends to agglomerate and precipitate upon acidification. It exhibits good substantivity and leveling properties. As an azo direct dye, it may decompose at high temperature.
Uses:Mainly used for dyeing and printing of cotton, linen, viscose and other cellulose fibers. It can also be applied to coloring leather and paper. It offers good color fastness and ease of application.
