Soluble in ethanol and oils; insoluble in water.
Uses:Used as a permitted food flavoring agent (GB 2760-96), for formulating cream, tallow, milk, pork, fish and spice flavors, and also for rum flavor. It is also used as a softening agent, lubricant, and in organic synthesis.
