Physical Properties:Melt-processable amorphous thermoplastic polymer with a density of approximately 1.42 g/cm³, a glass transition temperature of about 275°C, and a long-term continuous service temperature up to 260°C. It has excellent wear resistance, creep resistance, and chemical resistance, withstanding strong acids and most organic chemicals. It retains good toughness and impact strength at very low temperatures, exhibits a very low coefficient of linear thermal expansion, excellent dimensional stability, outstanding electrical insulation, low flammability, and low smoke generation, and performs well in both dry and lubricated environments.
Uses:Used to manufacture non-lubricated bearings, seals, valves, compressor and piston parts, bearing cages, bushings, and thrust washers, as well as aircraft hardware, automotive transmission and powertrain components, and oil and gas exploration and production equipment. Its excellent electrical insulation makes it suitable for semiconductor manufacturing and testing and electrical/electronic components, and it is also widely used as a high-performance non-stick and corrosion-resistant coating.
