Uses:Mainly used as a copper corrosion inhibitor, it forms a protective film on metal surfaces to prevent copper and its alloys from corrosion by atmosphere and harmful media. It can be used with scale inhibitors, bactericides and algicides in recirculating cooling water systems at a dosage of 2-4 mg/L. It is also used as an anti-tarnishing agent for copper and silver, suitable for protection of stainless steel, cast iron, cadmium and nickel alloys, and as an additive in automobile coolants and lubricating oils.
