Physical Properties:Colorless transparent liquid with a slight characteristic odor. Boiling range approximately 196–225°C, flash point approximately 100°C (closed cup), relative density (water=1) about 1.09 at 20°C, viscosity about 2.7 mPa·s at 25°C, freezing point approximately –20°C, low vapor pressure. Soluble in alcohols, ketones, esters, aromatic hydrocarbons and other organic solvents; slightly soluble in water. Chemically stable, biodegradable, low toxicity and low odor.
Uses:Used as a high-boiling environmentally friendly solvent with strong dissolving power, adjustable evaporation rate and good leveling performance, which improves film appearance and properties; suitable for polyurethane, epoxy resin and other systems. Widely applied in coil coatings, automotive coatings, can coatings, enameled wire coatings, wood coatings, inks, resin industry, cleaners and electronic soldering fluxes, etc., and can replace harmful solvents such as isophorone and glycol ethers.
