Physical Properties:Appearance ranges from pale yellow oily liquid to waxy solid, odorless or with slight oily odor. It has both hydrophilic and lipophilic characteristics, and is stable in acidic, alkaline and neutral environments, with good salt tolerance and resistance to hydrolysis. It is insoluble or dispersible in water (depending on HLB value), and soluble in ethanol, oils and other organic solvents.
Uses:Used as a nonionic surfactant with excellent emulsifying, dispersing, wetting, stabilizing and foaming properties. It is widely applied in the food industry as an emulsifier and stabilizer for beverages, ice cream, bread, chocolate, etc., as well as in daily chemicals, pharmaceuticals, plastics, textiles, pesticides and other fields.
