Physical Properties:Dimethyl-diphenylpolysiloxane is a colorless to light yellow transparent viscous liquid, almost odorless or with a faint aromatic odor. It exhibits excellent high- and low-temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, and electrical insulation performance, with outstanding thermal stability and little degradation even at high temperatures while remaining fluid at low temperatures. It has a high flash point, low volatility, and is not easily flammable; it is sparingly soluble in water and lower alcohols, readily soluble in organic solvents such as toluene, xylene, and petroleum ether, and has good compatibility with most resins and rubber materials.
Uses:It is mainly used as high-temperature heat transfer oil, diffusion pump oil, and base oil for high-temperature lubricants, as well as dielectric insulating oil. It can also be used as a release agent in processing plastics and rubber, as a damping medium in precision instruments, and as an oil-phase raw material in cosmetics. It is widely used in high-temperature resistant coatings, resin modification, and electronic packaging materials.
