Physical Properties:Light yellow to amber transparent viscous liquid with low surface tension and excellent hydro- and oleophobicity. Insoluble in water, soluble in acetone, ethyl acetate and other organic solvents. Relative density approx. 1.35–1.50 (20°C), viscosity increases with molecular weight, thermal decomposition temperature above 200°C.
Uses:Primarily used as water- and oil-repellent finishing agent for textiles, paper and leather. Also used as leveling agent and anti-fouling additive in coatings and inks, imparting good hydro- and oleophobicity and stain resistance to the applied films. Additionally applied in the preparation of fluorinated surfactants and functional fluorinated polymer materials.
