- 羟丙基淀粉为白色或淡白色无特殊气味的粉末。不溶于冷水，可在加热条件下糊化成粘稠且具有一定透明性的胶体，稳定性好。对酸、碱稳定，糊化温度低于原淀粉，冷热黏度变化较原淀粉稳定。与食盐、蔗糖等混用对黏度无影响。醚化后，冻融稳定性和透明度均有所提高。

Physical Properties:Hydroxypropyl starch is a white to off-white powder with no particular odor. It is insoluble in cold water but can gelatinize into a viscous, slightly transparent colloid when heated, exhibiting good stability. It is stable against acids and alkalis, has a lower gelatinization temperature than native starch, and shows more stable viscosity changes under hot and cold conditions compared with native starch. Blending with salt or sucrose does not affect its viscosity. After etherification, both freeze-thaw stability and transparency are improved.
Uses:Hydroxypropyl starch is mainly used as a thickening agent, suspending agent, and binder, widely applied in the food industry and building materials. It provides excellent suspension and emulsifying effects in aqueous solutions, and enhances water retention and workability of materials. The recommended dosage is 0.1%-0.3% (1.0-3.0 kg per ton).
