Physical Properties:Light amber to brown transparent liquid with a slight mercaptan odor. Density is approximately 1.09-1.13 g/cm³ (20°C), flash point above 180°C. Slightly soluble in water, easily soluble in mineral oil, toluene, ethanol and other organic solvents. Good thermal stability, exhibiting certain antioxidant performance at high temperatures.
Uses:Mainly used as an antiwear agent, antioxidant and metal passivator in engine oils and industrial lubricants. It forms a protective film on metal surfaces to reduce friction and wear while inhibiting oil oxidation. Widely applied in internal combustion engine oils, gear oils, hydraulic fluids and greases.
