Uses:It is an antibacterial synergist that significantly enhances the antibacterial activity of sulfonamides when used in combination. It is clinically used for the treatment of respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, intestinal infections, and for the prevention and treatment of Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia.
