Uses:Dysprosium is mainly used as an additive in neodymium-iron-boron permanent magnets to significantly improve magnetic performance. It is also used to prepare magnetostrictive alloys (Terfenol-D), widely applied in sonar and transducer fields. Additionally, it is used in laser materials, nuclear reactor control rods, and phosphors.
