Uses:Mainly used as an organic chemical raw material and solvent in the production of ethylene glycol, ethanolamine, diethanolamine, glycol ethers, and nonionic surfactants. It is also a key intermediate in the synthesis of the herbicide pretilachlor and is used as a sterilizing disinfectant, grain fumigant, and as a sterilant for medical devices.
