Physical Properties:White to light yellow crystalline powder, odorless, slightly bitter taste. Soluble in hot water, slightly soluble in cold water, almost insoluble in ethanol, ether and acetone. It has reducing properties, gradually oxidizes and changes color in air, and decomposes at about 230°C when heated.
Uses:This product is an important fine chemical intermediate, mainly used in organic synthesis and biochemical research. In analytical chemistry, it can be used as a chromogenic reagent for detecting certain metal ions, and also for preparing urea derivatives and pharmaceutical intermediates.
