Physical Properties:It is a light yellow or colorless oily liquid at room temperature, turning into white crystals at low temperatures. Soluble in most common organic solvents such as benzene, toluene, ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, and petroleum ether, as well as various industrial plasticizers; insoluble in water. Density approx. 1.05 g/cm³, boiling point approx. 204°C (1.5 kPa), flash point approx. 150°C.
Uses:Used as a highly efficient catalyst in polyurethane synthesis, silicone rubber, acrylate rubber, and carboxyl rubber crosslinking reactions, as well as a foaming activator for polyurethane foam and PVC foam plastics. In the coatings and inks industry, it serves as a drying accelerator, especially in high-grade polyurethane furniture paint, where it speeds up PU curing and promotes rapid film drying. It acts as a stabilizer and lubricant in soft transparent PVC products, improving compatibility and weather resistance when combined with metallic soaps. It is also widely used as a synthesis catalyst in adhesive manufacturing.
