Uses:Glufosinate-ammonium is a low-toxicity, high-efficiency, broad-spectrum non-selective herbicide. Its active ingredient phosphinothricin (PPT), a structural analog of glutamate, competitively inhibits glutamine synthetase, interfering with amino acid and glutamine synthesis and leading to plant death. It is also commonly used as a selective marker for screening glufosinate-resistant transgenic crops.
