Strong oxidizing agent, may cause combustion or explosion upon contact with organic substances or reducing agents. Almost non-hygroscopic with good storage stability.
Uses:Used as an initiator for monomer polymerization, such as in latex, acrylic monomer polymerization, vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride, and as an initiator for copolymerization of colloids including styrene, acrylonitrile, and butadiene. Applied in metal surface treatment, including cleaning and etching of printed circuits in semiconductor manufacturing, and activation of copper and aluminum surfaces. Serves as a key component in bleaching formulations for cosmetics and as a desizing agent and low-temperature bleaching agent in textiles. Also used in chemical synthesis, water purification, waste gas treatment, oxidative degradation of harmful substances, and as an oxidant in environmental remediation.
