Physical Properties:Tall oil is a dark brown oily liquid with a characteristic odor. It is insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether, chloroform and other organic solvents. Relative density is approximately 0.95–1.0 g/cm³, flash point about 180°C.
Uses:Used in paints, soaps, detergents, rubber and other industries. As a rubber reclaiming softener, it is suitable for water-oil, oil and dynamic reclaiming processes, giving reclaimed rubber smoothness, softness, certain tackiness and plasticity without yellowing pollution. It can also be used as a general rubber plasticizer.
