Obtained by steam distillation, mainly containing thymol, p-cymene, γ-terpinene, etc. Density approx. 0.915–0.935 g/cm³, flash point approx. 55°C, boiling point approx. 200–230°C.
Uses:Used in daily chemical flavors and food additives; possesses antibacterial and anti-inflammatory bioactivities. Also applied in aromatherapy and pharmaceutical industry as a natural preservative and flavoring agent.
