It is readily soluble in ethanol, ether, chloroform and petroleum ether, insoluble in water, but swells in water to form a colloidal dispersion. Density is about 1.02 g/cm³, with a relatively high flash point and not easily flammable. Store in a cool, airtight container protected from light (below -18°C). Shelf life: 12 months.
Uses:Egg yolk lecithin is a natural phospholipid mixture extracted and purified from egg yolk or egg yolk powder, featuring excellent surface activity, emulsifying property and biocompatibility. It is widely used in the pharmaceutical field as an emulsifier, liposome membrane material, drug carrier and excipient for injections. It is also applied in food, health products and cosmetics as a nutritional fortifier and emulsion stabilizer.
