Uses:Theobromine exhibits bronchodilator, cardiotonic and diuretic effects. It is mainly used as a pharmaceutical intermediate for the synthesis of derivatives such as sodium salicylate theobromine and pentoxifylline, and also as a biochemical reagent and food additive.
