Very slightly soluble in water (approx. 0.027 mg/L at 20°C); readily soluble in organic solvents such as acetone, dimethyl sulfoxide and dichloromethane. Low vapor pressure; stable under weakly acidic and neutral conditions but decomposes in strong alkali; stable to light.
Uses:Hexaflumuron is a benzoylurea insect growth regulator that inhibits chitin synthesis and disrupts the molting process of insects, causing larvae to die as they fail to ecdyse normally. It is mainly used for termite control and is also effective against lepidopteran pests such as cotton bollworm, diamondback moth, imported cabbageworm and tobacco cutworm; it also exerts a sterilizing effect on adult insects.
