Uses:Pharmaceutical-grade PVP is one of the excellent synthetic excipients for pharmaceuticals. It is mainly used as a binder for tablets, pills and granules, a solubilizer for injections, a glidant for capsules, a dispersant for liquid preparations and colorants, a stabilizer for enzymes and heat-sensitive drugs, a coprecipitant for poorly soluble drugs, and a detoxifying and wetting agent for ophthalmic preparations. It is also used in cosmetics and other industrial fields as a film former, thickener and dispersant.
