Physical Properties:At room temperature it is a colorless to light yellow viscous liquid with a slight characteristic odor. It is readily soluble in water and has excellent emulsifying, foaming, wetting and detergency properties. It is resistant to hard water and readily biodegradable. Its density is about 1.05 g/cm³ at 20°C, and the 70% active matter product has relatively high viscosity and a near-neutral pH in aqueous solution.
Uses:It is mainly used as the primary surfactant in liquid detergents, facial cleansers, shampoos and shower gels, and also as an emulsifier, foaming agent and wetting agent in textile, printing and dyeing, petroleum and leather industries.
