Readily soluble in water, ethanol and other polar solvents, with good emulsifying, solubilizing and dispersing properties.
Uses:Used as a softener, lubricant, solubilizer and emulsifier in cosmetics production for manufacturing astringent creams, astringent lotions, lipsticks and liquid balms, as well as for formulating foam baths, shampoos, cold-wave lotions, depilatories and hair straighteners. In the pharmaceutical industry, it is mainly used as an emulsifier, lubricant and solubilizer in the manufacture of emulsions and creams.
