It swells in water; the bed volume is approximately 2.5 mL per gram of dry gel. It is stable to acids, bases, and high temperature, with a working pH range of 2-13.
Uses:Used as a gel filtration chromatography medium, mainly for desalting protein solutions, buffer exchange, removal of small-molecule impurities, and separation and purification of peptides and proteins.
