Physical Properties:White to light yellow powder; freely soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol, acetone and other organic solvents; aqueous solution is neutral to slightly alkaline; hygroscopic. It is stable to oxidizing and reducing agents and shows good stabilizing effect on hydrogen peroxide.
Uses:It has strong degreasing, emulsifying, dispersing, penetrating and detergency power under alkaline conditions, and is mainly used to manufacture textile auxiliaries such as concentrated alkali-resistant scouring agents and mercerizing penetrants. It can also be used as a polymer dispersant, emulsifier and raw material for ion-exchange resins.
