- 白色或淡黄褐色粉末或细粒，有吸湿性。在热水或冷水中易分散，水溶液具有表面活性，透明度高，性能稳定。溶于水及部分有机溶剂，如适当比例的乙醇/水、丙醇/水、二氯乙烷等；溶解度随粘度增大而降低。热凝胶性质：不同规格凝胶温度不同，随甲氧基含量减少，凝胶点升高，水溶解度及表面活性下降。水溶液在pH 2~10时稳定，1%溶液pH为6.5~8.0。具有增稠能力，排盐性、灰分低、pH稳定性、保水性、尺寸稳定性、优良的成膜性以及广泛的抗酶性、分散性和粘结性等特点。

Physical Properties:White or yellowish-brown powder or fine granules, hygroscopic. Easily dispersible in hot or cold water; aqueous solution has surface activity, high transparency and stable performance. Soluble in water and some organic solvents, such as appropriate ratios of ethanol/water, propanol/water, dichloroethane, etc.; solubility decreases with increasing viscosity. Thermal gelation: gel temperature varies with specification; as methoxy content decreases, gel point rises, water solubility and surface activity decrease. Aqueous solution is stable at pH 2~10; pH of 1% solution is 6.5~8.0. Features thickening ability, salt tolerance, low ash content, pH stability, water retention, dimensional stability, excellent film-forming property, as well as broad enzymatic resistance, dispersibility and adhesive properties.
Uses:Used in scientific research and industrial fields, mainly as a thickener, suspending agent, dispersant and film-forming agent, widely applied in daily chemicals, food, pharmaceuticals, papermaking and coatings. Also used to prepare hydrogels and stabilize emulsion systems.
