Physical Properties:Molecular weight grades include L1000, L2000, L3000, L4000, and L5000, corresponding to molecular weight ranges of approximately 1 to 5 million. It exhibits excellent wear resistance, superior to most metallic materials. Impact strength reaches over 1.5 million cycles under specific test conditions. Self-lubricating performance is outstanding with a friction coefficient of 0.05-0.11; under water lubrication it is about half that of PA6, and under dry conditions it is second only to PTFE. It offers excellent chemical resistance, withstanding more than 80 solvents at 20-80°C. Its impact energy absorption is the highest among all plastics, providing superior noise damping. The saturated water absorption rate is extremely low at 0.01%. It also demonstrates outstanding low-temperature performance and can be used long-term at -80°C.
Uses:Primarily used in wear-resistant sheets (UHMWPE sheets), extruded screws, snowmobile gears and skids, ore chute liners, battery separator membranes, prosthetic materials, high-strength fibers, and adhesive tapes. Suitable for industrial components and composite material applications requiring high wear resistance, impact resistance, self-lubrication, and low-temperature performance.
