Physical Properties:White crystalline powder with bitter taste. Relative density 1.43, melting point 203-204°C. Soluble in aqueous alkali solutions, sparingly soluble in cold water, ethanol and acetone, insoluble in gasoline and toluene.
Uses:This product is suitable for metal oxide vulcanization, especially with magnesium oxide or zinc oxide as vulcanizing agents, providing safe operation, resistance to scorching, and relatively fast curing speed. It is mainly used as an accelerator for chloroprene rubber, chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber, epichlorohydrin rubber, and acrylic rubber, especially suitable for type 54-1(W) and general purpose (GN) chloroprene rubber. It is also used in the production of wires, cables, rubber products, hoses, tapes, rubber shoes, rainwear, and as an intermediate in fine chemicals for antioxidants, pesticides, dyes, pharmaceuticals, and synthetic resins.
